9. I'm all for gathering our resources as long as they do no harm to the areas renewables like seafood

air and water should have already been tested for a baseline of ANY damages the drilling causes. That includes stressed wildlife populations.

And those places that used to be exposed land 15,000 years ago are an archaeologists dream, any sampling of seabed should be shared across the sciences. Also very gold rich and rare earth rich, no reason only the oil should be the main interests.
