Russia agreed to illegally launder cash to the RNC. Jeff Sessions was apparently there too, which I believe is why he immediately caved and agreed to recuse from the Trump-Russia investigation.

I also think Russia ensnared Paul Ryan and Reince Priebus with illegal donations at the 2016 GOP Convention.

It wasn't only Trump who benefitted. I think Russia laundered cash to the entire GOP during the 2016 election.

and they stay with him and do what he says even though it is illogical and they have doubts, until they he leads them into an inescapable situation. Trump is desperately taking Putin's hand and being led also. Putin has been playing with Trump for years and trump knows he had to please Putin. He knows the ruthlessness and power and cunning this gangster has and Trump just wants to be near him and be him.

We however are caught in this corral. We have to find a way to open the fence and remove ourselves and his followers to save our democratic - republic.

13. There is a technique of "small group control" developed originally by the RAND corporation.

RAND was commissioned by the US government after WWII to find a way to control large populations in Europe, populations with many fascist sympathizers. Use of force was to be minimized, so psychological methods were devised.

To control a large group, you do not need to control the whole group. Instead, find the sub-groups within and exert control over the most influential of them. Within the small groups, you do not need to control each individual, just the most influential members.

Think of a High School. Everyone belongs to a sub-group. It's a matter of influencers. Control, for instance, the sports stars, the most popular kids, the most charismatic, the physically appealing, the tough guys, and you will be able to influence the whole school.

This control scheme has been adapted to corporate management, advertising, and politics. One relevant point is that the groups must remain separated by feeding each group different and contradictory "facts", from authority figures, so the groups cannot unify in opposition to the large group.

You have some of the most powerful like Moscow Mitch and Leningrad Lindsey with direct ties to Russian money, Republicans aggressively pushing Russia/Trump talking points upon return from visits to Russia, and a horde of others influenced by the NRA which has turned out to be totally compromised by Russian intellegence.
