Trump barely above water in N.D.

Morning Consult, which says it surveys 5,000 registered voters across the United States on a daily basis on Trump, says the Republican president's approval rating for September in North Dakota is just plus-1, matching his lowest mark in a state that overwhelmingly voted for him over Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The poll says 49 percent of North Dakotans approve of the job Trump is doing, compared to 48 percent who disapprove. That matches the 1 percent approval margin that Trump garnered in May, when 48 percent said they approved of the president and 47 disapproved ...

... noteworthy is the steep erosion in support for Trump since he took office in January 2017. His net approval in North Dakota — the drop in approval plus the rise in disapproval — has decreased 22 points since Trump took office.

we could just pick a name from DU out of a hat to run against him and be reasonably assured of a victory.
