I had a boss who thought he was king once, and everyone kow-towed to him. He was a radiologist and had a crew of docs under him, and they all kissed his ring dutifully. Some other radiologist docs came through the doors that tried to make their own place and they were gone fast. That is the only experience I have that I kind of associate with what is happening.
