One of the reasons he wears the extra-long ill-fitting trousers is probably to have the pants cuffs cover the weird things going on with his feet.

Try it - stand with your heels on 3" blocks of wood or a thick book and see if your posture doesn't match his.

Can also explain a lot about the way he acts around stairs and ramps - the lifts have him angled dangerously forward and he can easily take a tumble.
