Defense official arrested for leaking information to journalists

Source: The Hill (with apologies)

The Department of Justice on Wednesday announced the arrest of a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) official for allegedly leaking classified information to journalists, including one that he was apparently in a relationship with.

Law enforcement officials arrested 30-year-old Henry Kyle Freese of Virginia and charged him with two counts of willful transmission of national defense information. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

That's all there is. No more at link: https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/465040-defense-official-arrested-for-leaking-information-to-journalists?__twitter_impression=true

My first thought: I hope this wasn't a leaker caught in the act of trying to help America. DOJ cracked down on him hard and fast.

That seems clear from what is written. Members of the military handing over documents to journalists should be "cracked down on fast."
