Like all bullies, he likes his victims smaller, vulnerable, isolated, and scared. He doesn't pick on people his own size, or who have resources, or friends who have their back, or that aren't afraid of him.

one way to win. And, if he's not "winning" (by his definition) he has always just walked away. He was never important enough for anyone to actually care.

But, he can't do that in this job.
