The selective service system is still in place, and every male 18 or older is compelled to register. Woman should be also. It's silly they aren't. In fact, the draft should still be active. It would democratize military/national service. Then when a stupid war is contemplated, a lot of people will object loudly.

But your point is valid. The armed forces are a purely volunteer service. Men, women, and others serve proudly.

This guy (ahole in the tweet) is a neanderthal who should never use social media again.

That was the cutoff for Selective Service. By his logic only people eligible to be drafted are entitled to an opinion.
