I'd bet you would be very very reticent to "turn on any kind of autopay function on a phone that could be lost, stolen, cloned. Just my thoughts and for the record, I've had the first happen. It was a long extended holiday weekend from hell as a result, though my credit union was good to me and expedited getting things closed out and reestablished.

Plenty of Duers will probably tell you not to worry. So, take my 2 cents for just that.

Oh, and I don't save passwords on my phone for Paypal or Amazon because anyone who came upon it could theoretically wipe me out. (I simply enter the passwords manually each time).

problem was, I couldn't figure how to operate the damn thing, I had to have my granddaughter show me how to operate it, and I still don't get it.

Seriously considering going back to my simple flip phone.

The vendor does not get you CC info The charge is to your Apple account.

Sure, Apple might get hacked. But I see that as much less likely than the places I buy stuff from. The less people have my CC info the better.
