Is one term I use to describe his followers.

2 people I follow on line collected various suggested nicknames for him, because he's so quick to call people names. Cult 45 was suggested, but they agreed that expression describes his followers perfectly.

The evangelicals are a cult that gave itself over to 45. But not all his followers are evangelicals.
Some are cult Limbug or cult faux. But they're all cult 45 members.

I'm leaning towards suggesting Kool aid instead of reprogramming at the moment. Tomorrow I might feel differently. There may be a few worth saving.
