What else do people here read to keep up with current events??

I obviously spend a lot of time here and often go to articles recommended by fellow DUers. I also follow a few people on Twitter and spend time on Daily Kos and TPM. I used to subscribe to the Washington Post, but got rid of it because I wasn't reading it enough.

What about others? I'm starting to worry that all of this bouncing around online means that I don't spend enough time reading longer articles and essays that really delve into things, but I'm also a little overwhelmed with all of the content available online.

Put a bunch of reporters (AP, Reuter's, NYT, WaPo, WSJ, etc.) in a twitter list. Only the ones you trust to be real about their investigative reporting. It helps to keep up easily.

I read far too many publications to be honest, I'm an information addict. My subscription list is epically long. Better to just use my hack and then use private/incognito browsing to view if you're just looking for highlights.

get email newsletters and headlines from them and from special interest organizations. Propublica's another I like. Incognito hasn't been working as well as it used to for me.

with the NYT. Cancelled subscription twice because of their corrupt promotion of Republican power but run out my free access articles right away every month.

so I can form my own opinion. That's all I want.

So I check four to eight every day and try to avoid spin and opinions.

Also, I think I'm one of the few people here who likes Rawstory. I don't go to their site, though. I can see their headlines from this site:

https://disqus.com/home/forum/rawstory/

That way, I'm avoiding all the ads that make the site unreadable (unless I click on a particular article).
