Is Trump pushing Turkey into Putin's arms?

Looks to me like Erdogan/Turkey is plotting to exit NATO and partner with Russia. How will that affect our military presence in Turkey?

Remember that the NATO alliance with Turkey has always been a sore spot with the Russians because of its geographic proximity. The Cuban Missile Crisis was partly resolved with the removal of American missiles from Turkey. Having those missiles so close to Russia was one of the motivations for Russia attempting to place missiles in Cuba-to create a corresponding threat.
