"Honorable" Mattis Never Gives A Direct Answer About Trump Polices But...

he never shies away from criticizing PBO, or Obama as he calls him. Saw an interview this morning where he did it again and I believe he does so in his book. So much for the military not criticizing the Commander In Chief. And yet in the face of all the harm the traitor in the WH id doing he pulls out the honorable card and soft pedals his thoughts. He should just go away.

And yes I know he says Isis is still around but he follows that up with his dig at PBO and Iraq.

His comment about Obama which was pretty milquetoast and not inaccurate, was a direct call to the powers that be who care more about political legacy than the lives being lost. They won’t be moved by pictures of children dying... but they just may be by the idea they’ll be compared to Obama.

He couldn't because he was in the military. I would bet that the habits of his entire military career that precludes that still colors what he is willing to say about the CURRENT President. Note that major exception was his statement when he resigned. Since then, he has referred back to that statement when asked for a comment.

He may want to control a nuanced complicated position. He is not a politician who has years of experience answering questions off the cuff.
