The saddest part about Trump's cult is ...

He gets them to stand in line for hours to yell Lock Her Up!, but the fact of the matter is ...

Not that Bill or Hillary Clinton would want anything to do with Trump, but Trump would certainly invite Bill and Hillary Clinton to be his guests at Mar-a-lago long before he would even considered inviting the idiots who wait in line to attend his cult rallies to take out his trash or clean the toilets, and that's not even debatable. He absolutely despises the demographic that makes up is base, and worships with great envy anyone who is famous, affluent, or powerful.

But nonetheless his rubes would gladly lay down their lives for Trump and his grifter children.

When Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose any supporters, well he could actually shoot his supporters and as long as they survived they would continue to worship him.

Trump was right about one thing, his rubes truly are the dumbest chumps to ever walk the face of the Earth ... working them over was the easiest con he's ever pulled, he doesn't even have to produce any results, they're happy with meaningless Tweets and silly parody videos.

When I look at those crowds I see what are most likely overall decent people. I know, this is subject to debate. But there is this thing called the authoritarian personality, which I have witnessed first hand and up close.

I can see my brother attending a Trump rally. He is a good, kind and gentle person. He served in the Army for over 20 years and did numerous tours in Afghanistan. He is probably one of the smartest people I know. He is also astoundingly gullible. When he buys into an authority figure's schtick, he's 100% all in. Case in point - he is a born again Christian. I would wager that the majority of born-agains have authoritarian personalities, which explains Trump's popularity with evangelicals. Anyway, my brother believes with every fiber of his being the nonsense that the earth is 4500 years old.

It's bizarre. It's also sad and pathetic. With that said I am careful to never respond to my brother with pity or condescension because that plays into his anti-intellectual mentality. Most of the time, we just agree to disagree.
