prisoners. especially those from Europe that "want to go home". I think this is part of the plan that Putin has to cause chaos in the EU and NATO... terrorists and more refugees from Syria will cause the reaction by the easily frightened to elect even more right wing autocrats... isolationists... thus letting Russia regain the Soviet Union and, possibly, beyond that.

out of Syria doesn't just benefit Erdogan and the Turks, it benefits Putin's client Assad who now gets back control of the northern part of Syria and the oil fields there.
