What has become of Chris Matthews?

Steve Kornacki has been subbing for him on Hairball for quite awhile now. Both of them are pretty irritating, though in different ways; but is Kornacki going to go away soon so I can be irritated by Matthews?

Matthews takes these European vacations ... he's 73 years old and has been with MSNBC since 1997.
I suppose he has earned at least a couple weeks off now and then.
