I don't think we see Mulvaney resign. Remember when Giuliani went

on the shows and let slip that Stormy was indeed paid off? We all thought it was an error and Trump would fire giuliani. That in reality was just giuliani helping trump by letting the facts out they knew were going to come out in a way that would not sting Trump as much as all the varied allegations all coming out in one Mueller report at one time.

This is just a guess but Mulvaney today said there was quid pro quo re: Ukraine looking for Democratic interference in the 2016 election & DNC Servers in return for Trump giving them aid $$$ that was promised. Then Mulvaney backtracks that evening (tonight). So fox news now has a clip of Mulvaney saying something and then a denial of that particular quid pro quo. So now they have a news cycle of the same topic as the impeachment issue of the ukraine-biden giuliani US military aid affair but one that likely isn't true. So they can say "there was no quid pro quo" and be vague about what they are referring to and not be lying. Or they can fool the base into thinking one is the other when they talk. I mean if the first Mulvaney presser was a complete lie to set up the ability to deny quid pro quo into the future that might explain why all the WH counsels clamoured to make it clear they had no idea what Mulvaney was going to say. IMHO

Of course i'm speculating. I could be wrong.

But, unlike Barr, he failed because his excuse sucked and this time it's Too Big To Coverup.
