I thought Dallas was now blue

But the crowds to see Trump at that rally lined up 2 days early, formed lines two deep for 10 blocks to get into his shitshow. Rather disheartened to see that many morans from, what I thought, was a city in our camp.

Yes, I know I can get a crowd to see a performing monkey spinning on a spike while quoting lines from Mein Kampf , but still....

They follow Dear Leader around the country, much like Deadheads followed around the Grateful Dead. But, that's the only thing they have in common. It's all hate and anger, instead of the Dead's "Be kind to each other."

Deadbeat Donnie gets groupies that go to every rally. Newspaper here talked to one guy from Vegas who was attending his 58th. Also, remember we're an island of blue in a sea of red. The rural areas ares still by and large red. East Texas is real RW and I imagine a lot of those people drove in to see their hero. And yes, some in the Metroplex are his cult followers.

The DFW Metropolitan Area is the 4th largest in the United States. It is not hard to find that many of the Trump Volk here. Also, he is extremely popular in East Texas, Gohmert country, which is a short trip.

Now if we can only get out that blue vote-

I heard a radio guy speak yesterday as to why Trump won in '16

Some Dems swallowed the Hillary crap and didn't vote for her
Dems didn't show up in enough numbers
Corruption at state and local levels
Majority (I think he said over 50%) of voters didn't bother to get off their asses
Hillary votes were siphoned off by other Dems on the ticket

-- I forget the other reasons , but he gave quite a list

If only, if only.... but, the fickle finger of fate has written.

I do not think that there are any county wide republicans holding office and all of the judges are Democrats. The suburbs are turning blue that takes time

and in Dallas itself Trump got 262.945 votes in 2016 or about 35%. His attendance at the rally was between 18-20,000--he hypes that but it's not all the spectacular.
