It's deeper than that -- it's the assumption that women and women's body parts are a useful way to denigrate other men. The same way calling them a faggot is an insult, even if it's all "in good fun."

I'm sure many men -- and apparently you as well -- don't think twice about that underlying misogyny. It's not "mean", it's not "serious", and anyone who calls them out on it is just "uptight" and "needs to loosen up" or "to chill." Exactly the same rationales that have been used to explain away vicious racial stereotyping that is just accepted as the way things are and nothing to get upset about.

Men use fear of being womanly as a weapon against each other. It can be light-hearted or vicious but at it's core it's demeaning to women. You can recognize that without hating the men who do it or thinking they're monsters. But NOT recognizing the dynamic is part of the problem. You can't fix if you can't even see it.

I've heard this from two people who saw this along two separate stretches of the wall, one in San Diego County, the other in Imperial County, CA.
