"SNIP.....

Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of President Trump’s most vital allies on Capitol Hill, opened the door to changing his mind on impeachment if there turns out to be what he considers a quid pro quo, Axios reports.

Said Graham: “If you could show me that, you know, Trump actually was engaging in a quid pro quo, outside the phone call, that would be very disturbing.”

.....SNIP"

he knows damn well the phone call WAS the quid pro quo. He also knows damn well he'd never accept any other proof any more than the phone call. He's just blowing smoke up everyone's ass.

And now he could be for impeachment. I guess Mitch will allow a few to vote for impeachment as long as there are not too many republicans voting to impeach and probably only if they are in tight races in 2020.

He usually wins by double digits, so 7 points isn't really a good sign for hiim.

but being he won by 17% in 2014.... only being up by 7 now means the gap is closing.

https://www.thestate.com/news/politics-government/election/article235627327.html

According to a poll Collective PAC commissioned from Change Research and obtained first by The State, Harrison trails Graham by just 7 percentage points — a surprisingly slim margin given the demographics of a state that elected President Donald Trump by nearly 14 percentage points in 2016.

I read the title and the article too fast. Yes i am with you on Lindsey's flip. But not on the phone call only if more quid pro quo comes out.

He is clearly being blackmailed by trump. Open secret is that Lindsey is not all that straight, as he claims to be. Murmurs of underage boys, among other things. We know that the Russians hacked repub's. Where does that lead? Only the truprssian's know.

...if this body determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role. Impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office. -- Lindsey Graham

Clinton was never so much as charged for any crime.

Locking in their votes before any evidence is heard.

Graham is definitely not "open to new evidence".

Graham is in trouble, not ALL republican voters are lockstep trumpers, some even have some moral/ethical characteristics. When trump is violating so many laws and rules without restraint, those around him will be held accountable as well
