Don't be distracted from the diplomat's testimony by the deployment of "lynching" spectacle.

Team Trump is masterful at deploying outrage after outrage to distract the press and the people.

Today is one more example. And it's working too well.

One coded word, and the commentariat is off to the races.

Graham is a craven sycophant; that's established. This is just more evidence that he's an anachronism SC needs to discard. Though I have no expectation they will.

Taylor's testimony will be largely secret until Schiff makes his case.

On edit: I hadn't even heard that Trump used the term, just saw that Graham did. I can't keep up.

... and, per script, they are falling for it. The first response post above said we can do both. I agree that WE - politics junkies that we are - can. The MSM and the kardashianized general public? Not so much.

someone on twitter has suggested that the coded word they are holding in reserve is the "n" word and that Trump will deploy that when something really really serious needs cover.

The real news of the day, the shocking testimony of the diplomat, is overshadowed. "Lynching" was deliberately deployed. Last week the word to distract from Sondland's testimony was "Doral".

Just a heads up.

It's more evidence of his amoral character.
