As Aaron Rupar observed when he re-tweeted the Trump tweet, he's falling back on the only defense he has.
It was pointed out yesterday that "the identity of the whistleblower" has been rendered somewhat irrelevant by Trump's own words in front of reporters, the White House "readout" ( not a "perfect complete transcript" ), Mulvaney, and yesterday's Taylor testimony.
But yes, the only way to get to the bottom of the historic Chicago fire is to send Bill Barr to the match factory, unearth the identity of the employee who made the match (who is probably long deceased), then rigorously question his living relatives, and turn the results over to Jim Jordan, so that he can hold them up in the next House hearing and cry "foul!"
I just woke up. This shit hurts my brain.

No wonder he has no fucking idea what's going on most of the time.

I can almost hear that coming out of Jordan or Gaetz.
