Because if his records is clean and his wealth is as vast as he claims, they should welcome the verification.

Just for starters, it was reported recently that there were huge discrepancies between occupancy rates that he reported for a bank loan vs. what he reported on his taxes.

And to him, being exposed as simply another rich guy & not Mr Super Rich More Than Everyone Else guy, would be the ultimate embarrassment. That, and it may show huge losses; and he wouldnt want anyone to know he's a failure!

His tax returns wont show any connection to Russia or anyone else; merely deductions for interest payments or losses. It wouldnt show WHO the interest was paid to. An audit would require that info, but not the tax returns.

about auditing that prevents the public disclosure of the returns. Nothing. Period. Unless, of course, the returns, themselves, are held as evidence in a criminal case of tax fraud.

The media was focused on the shiny ball that was Hilary's emails. God forbid they did any reporting on stuff with any substance, like whether one of the candidates was a tax cheat or fraud.

I do not understand the recess. Oral argument is over. Unless the court is going to rule right now then why would there be a recess? I undertand the court has taken the case on an "expedited" basis, but is there going to be an immediate ruling?

Who actually OWNS, controls the tRUMP Organization. When it's revealed that it's a foreign national, or country...then we will all know why he didn't want his returns released.

His base could care less about his wealth, that he did or didn't pay taxes or that he stiffed dozens of people and companies. His liability is not losing his base, they are onboard come hell or high water.

Just sayin...

So he went ahead knowing that he would NEVER release those returns. So he lied from day one and the GOP let him get away with it. And continue to get away with it.

In fact, I understand they are fighting state legislation (see CA) that would REQUIRE tax returns before anyone would be added to a state ballot.

What the hell is it states rights or federal interference? How can states protect their citizens if their attempts are foiled after the facts by federal intervention? Look at environmental issues, gun issues, abortion issues, equality issues, wage issues.

keep my finances in order.
If I bounce too many checks, have too much debt (CC, Mortgage), ...
that could make me a target and I could lose my clearance, thus my job.

The fact that the lawyers are arguing that Pendejo45's finances
could expose him to the public, means he's already been targeted
and no doubt he's been compromised.

The judge should rule immediately to release his taxes, consequences be damned.
