Trump reaches end of legal rope on 'executive immunity' excuse

The Second Circuit Court already ruled on this one, this is an appeal en banc I think. Maddow covered this one last night, she found a section of the court's ruling specifically invalidated the DoJ memo that claims the President cannot be indicted. It said the memo has no legal force and multiple rulings up to SCOTUS have specifically contradicted the fundamental basis of the memo. Since this DoJ memo is one of the fundamental arguments they are using to protect the President's tax records, they are inadvertently setting a precedent that the President CAN be indicted. Nice. 1. This was my very thought listening this morning. They really stepped in it by allowing the entire

OLC opinion on indicting the President to be considered.

I can only hope it backfires as badly as I think it will.

We are all tired of this and I hope the justices deny the appeal and that SCOTUS denies grant of certiorari (agreeing to hear the case).
