near the drain opening. However, that drain isn't really plugged. It's just backed up a little. Just lightly clogged. Once the water rises a little more, water pressure will cause the flushing action to occur, sweeping everything in the bowl down in a rush. Like most of us who are facing a rising water line in our euphemistic plumbing fixture, the relief when it finally drains is palpable.
Whew! No need for the plunger!

(4,393 posts)for the reminder - I tried the pressure thing; not effective - overflow hole didn't allow enough pressure to build - plunger and/or pulling the drain stopper that doesn't move to open/close easily needed I'm guessing. Putting on the "Honey Do" list, ASAP!
