The entire facility has to be essentially rebuilt now.
Two witnesses to the same overt act. I'm tired of playing softball with these scum.

(40,212 posts)Is there a single democrat in the House or Senate who matches the ignorance and plain old fashion stupid that is found in some of the republicans in Washington? I'll answer that myself, no. How do these people end up in such high office? Gaetz isn't qualified to serve on a school board.
Gaetz and his little band should be held accountable.

(1,388 posts)Yes, take away their phones for security reasons. Plus that is how you handle petulant children. I just want some hard action that is legally and politically actionable.

Note, I worked in that SCIF for HPSCI and handled cybersecurity issues while there.[snip]
But in "storming the SCIF" without observing the security protocols, Rep. Gaetz et al, endangered our national security & demonstrated they care more about a political stunt than protecting intelligence information.
I cannot emphasize enough how serious this is. [more]

(12,157 posts)"STORMING THE HOUSE: Republicans stage sit-in during closed-door session of impeachment testimony" -- headline seen on Trump TV's website.
The Trump TV article, describing the invasion of the deposition hearing where Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper was set to testify, of course makes no mention of the fact that the committees hearing the various depositions include Republican members. As Politico points out, "Republicans knew they would be turned away from the closed-door deposition; only members who sit on the authorized committees are permitted to sit in on the sessions. Scores of Republicans who sit on the three panels leading the inquiry have been participating in the witness interviews."
But the Party of Trump is not interested in the truth, of course. This stunt, led by Rep. Steve Scalise (R-Heat Seeking Nose) is about protecting the interests of Trump and Putin, and their own sorry hides.

I wonder how much more damage these idiots will do before they finally realize their actions bring them shame.
Nothing but shame, embarrassment and dishonor to themselves, their constituents and the nation.
A shame predicated entirely on idiocy.

(5,591 posts)in so badly, remove the rest and lock their arrogant, vile asses in the room with their fucking pizza, which I hope they choke on. Let them cell phone videos out all they want, that will distract the reality show media while genuine proceedings can continue. Keep them locked in there while taking the hearing elsewhere and deciding their fate afterwards.
