Apparently they had planned this action a week ago.. these are people not on these committees.. there are already 40 republicans who sit on the committees in there.. they have no right to be in there.. what else could it be.. intimidation of witnesses... this smells to high heaven and somebody should be cooling their heels in the local jail.. mainly those nimrods who did that..that is against the law

No one is getting arrested. The immunity provided by the Constitution's Speech and Debate Clause has been interpreted broadly and its in the interest of Democratic members to keep it that way. However, the GOPers who pulled this stunt can and should be censured. (Heck, I'd argue that they should be expelled but that would take a 2/3 vote and that's never going to happen and wouldn't be attempted.

entrance is by invitation only, with no cellphones or recording devices allowed.

Imagine how far these assholes would get mobbing a nuclear site or an aircraft carrier. Or a Joint Chiefs meeting.

Speech and debate is one thing. Security is quite another.

And violations of the Committee's rules aren't criminal offenses and, by the terms of those rules, are handled by referral to the Ethics Committee.

I believe they were just trying to make a public spectacle for FOX News, hoping the mainstream media would get distracted, too.

Fail.

breaking into a hearing in mass and shouting has to be construed as witness intimidation.. and that sounds like hard time to me
