What Is Rep Matt Gaetz Trying To Achieve? - What's His Angle?....

With all the antics this guy pulls I sit back and wonder what is his end game? What is he trying to achieve?

Is he doing what he does to get re-elected? Raise money? Get noticed by the MSM so he gets more air time for cable news interviews? Moving up in the ranks of Repugs by doing crazy things? Get in the good graces of Trump?

Does he realize that he just makes an ass of himself?

I don't get him. What's his story?

He has aspirations of being a senator, maybe even moving to Alabama to run against Doug Jones. This stunt will play all over the 24-7 wingnut propaganda machine, and he'll be a hero to the deplorables.

to imply that something nefarious is going on with the House hearings.

And also to let them know that force and lawlessness are okay if you don't get your way.

Trump Says Republicans Need To 'Get Tougher And Fight' On Impeachment

October 21, 20195:18 PM ET

President Trump is chastising Republicans for not sufficiently having his back as he tries to weather an impeachment inquiry from Democrats.

"Republicans have to get tougher and fight," Trump said during a Cabinet meeting on Monday. "We have some that are great fighters, but they have to get tougher and fight because the Democrats are trying to hurt the Republican Party for the election."

And while the president rarely has words of praise for Democrats, he did laud them for being "vicious" and "stick[ing] together" when it comes to impeachment and other matters. And he lambasted one of his top GOP foes, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, saying they "don't have people like that" on their side.

But while the thinks he is more clever than the latest apple iphone, truth is he doesn't have much over the average box of rocks. So his stunts are just loud, flailing, and usually backfire.

But he has captured Trump's attention - I guess that gives him the energy to keep at it. Showing his backside for what he really is.

It would help his narrative that democrats are trying to hide something. Fortunately, democrats didn't rise to the bait, let it peter out, and continued with the hearings. Hopefully, there will be consequences later, which he'll try to capitalize on, but with Nancy running things, the narrative will be out of his hands.
