@RepAdamSchiff
Today, Laura Cooper did her lawful duty and answered questions from both parties.
She did so notwithstanding efforts by the President to stop her, and when those failed, efforts by his GOP allies in Congress to do the same.
We will not be deterred from revealing the truth.

The group of Republicans who disrupted an impeachment inquiry hearing by storming into a secure room at the Capitol had the blessing of President Trump https://bloom.bg/2NaRugp

(8,200 posts)I have posted Dr. Lawrence Britt's "The 14 Characteristics of Fascism" on this board several times over the years. It is a clear and concise description of the program that the Republican Party has pursued for the last fifty years. It has been coupled with their attempt to enforce their radical Unitary Executive interpretation of the Constitution to establish a authoritarian presidency along with the so-called opinion of the DOJ that a president can not be indicted while in office which clearly is a contradiction that no man is above the law.

(129,096 posts)That's the latest thing the media is now putting out there - i.e., the number of Republicans who joined in that stunt, who are actually on the Committees hearing the testimony and are permitted to be there (and have been there since this all started). That makes it even more a stunt as an attempt to assuage their Dear Leader and make the group appear larger. But they miss the fact that the other 150 or so GOP members were not there with them.

(6,829 posts)Sorry but this obstruction by Gaetz et al was obviously planned well in advance. Schiff had no word of this beforehand?
Whatever the truth of the matter Schiff needs to massively up his game. The gauntlet is thrown and Schiff needs to ensure these witnesses NEVER face this kind of intimidation again or they'll stop coming.

(4,007 posts)The last paragraph of the article goes like this:
Representative Eric Swalwell, a California Democrat, accused the Republicans of violating security protocols by bringing phones and other electronic devices into what is supposed to be a secure space used for classified materials.
Rather than doing actual investigative reporting and being able to come outright and state that, Yes, we have corroborated that there are security protocols, and that Republicans appear to have violated them, they leave Swalwell holding the burden of truth.
