Goebbels would be so proud of the Republicans who spoke at today's House hearing. As jaded as I have become, I am still just amazed at how many can look into the cameras and say things which they know are totally false and transparently so to anyone not living in a cave.
Today's winner of the "Jesus Christ! Are you serious?" award, in my opinion, was Rep. McCaul of Texas. He spoke right after Speaker Pelosi who referenced Trump's claim that Article Two of the US Constitution empowered him to do as he pleased.
Mr. McCaul rose and---if I heard correctly---said that he had read the Constitution, too, and that that's exactly what Article Two says!
There were lies about "secret hearings" and Republicans being "shut out" of the investigation. And, for the drooling mob that is waiting only to hear why "Democrats BAD!", the lies are all that's necessary to send them howling into their bars, coffee shops and "hair salons" to repeat the nonsense to anyone who will pretend to listen.
