Election day is this Tuesday.

Off year elections are generally not Democrats strong suit. It is why Republicans dominate at local elections. We don't vote????
Republicans do.

Local politics are full of people running unopposed so turnout is low.. The reason why we need to vote in off year elections is that state supreme court judges and local judges are on the ballot around here anyway.

Trump has held multiple rallies here over the past few years, actually down the street from me. The mayoral seat has been red for the past four years, but we have a chance to flip it blue because the incumbent isn't running and the Republican on the other side is deeply unpopular. I've been canvassing for his opponent, Democrat Rod Roberson.

It would be a huge flip.

Both are important votes, but most people, including Democrats won't turn out. I've always found that very depressing. My wife and I will go to our polling place at 10 AM, just like we do for every election.

I went late in the day last year and i was number 37. We definitely need to turn out locally more. Peace.

Tuesday will say whether Kentucky begins to claw its way back to being The Bluegrass State, or falls deeper into the crack as The Red Assed State.
