According to the article, they want to call as many witnesses as they can, with the primary purpose being to slime the whistleblower.

That's the strategy...a clownshow over the whistleblower.

No idea when of if the brakes will be applied.

8. I think some disciplinary action

is due them for their prior antics. Maybe a timely application of censure could help avoid the worst of it. Those two, in the picture, are going to be busy protecting themselves, I think, during all this. They might have to lawyer up themselves due to being involved in the cover up and those lawyers are likely to tell them to sit down, shut up and mind their own affairs. A least, that's what I'm hoping for.

Just goes to show us how important is the stain of the impeachment asterisk. Just look at the cover of Meachem's book, Impeachment. Nixon is the figure in the center and he wasn't even impeached. If the photo was a meal, Johnson and Clinton would be the celery stalks and the olives while Nixon, dead center, is the main course.
