Unprecedented
Attention All Republicans:
I realize that thinking is often foreign to you – but now is the time to start thinking things through.
Given your behaviour over the past two-plus years, you should understand that when the next Democratic president is elected, you will be in no position to claim that even the most outrageous actions and statements on his/her part, or on the part of his/her cabinet members, appointees, and advisors, are ‘unprecedented’.
Should that Democratic president lie to the American people tens of thousands of times, place inept cronies in positions of power, take his/her cues from ‘librul’ news outlets, and undo everything his/her predecessor put in place, you will have no other option than to sit in silence – because your “pResident” has set the precedent for doing exactly that.
If the next Democratic president instructs his attorney general to investigate every political enemy (that means you) who supported Trump’s destructive behaviour, covered-up for him, lied for him, perjured themselves for him, and defended his destructive, anti-American policies, you’ll have no other choice than to lawyer-up and hope you don’t wind up in prison.
If the next Democratic president announces that he/she is above the law, that the Second Amendment means he/she can do whatever they want without limit or restriction, and determines that any efforts on your part to defy him/her will be met with threats of retaliation, you’re just going to have to lay down and take it – just like you’ve taken that shit from Donald Trump.
If the next Democratic president decides to collude with our enemies in order to be elected, uses his/her position to extort ‘dirt’ from our allies for personal gain in exchange for financial/military aid, and endangers our national security by doing so, yelling ‘this is unprecedented’ is a phrase that will fall on extremely deaf ears.
At this point, I should point out that a Democratic president would never sink as low as your current “pResident” has sunk, nor will his/her party members. That’s because Democrats – as has been proven time and again since your traitor-in-chief took office – would never endanger our global alliances, undermine our standing in the world community, or endanger the safety of our citizens in order to enrich him/herself while destroying everything our nation has stood for since its inception.
But truth be told, I almost wish he/she would do things simply for the purpose of prompting your outrage – like installing a drive-through abortion clinic on every corner, golfing 365 days a year at his own resorts,, tweeting covfefe non-stop, and ignoring the rule of law while declaring that even if he/she shot someone on 5th Avenue, no one could investigate him/her, no less touch them.
I’d love to see the next Democratic president haul the asses of Jim Jordan, Bill Barr, Devin Nunes et al in front of a congressional hearing, forcing them to defend their lies, their dismissal of the rule of law, and their treasonous behaviour.
But then again, the next Democratic president following the law and holding him/herself accountable for every word and every action will probably blow your minds anyway, given how long it’s been since such things actually happened.
Just remember that everything you have done to protect and defend the most destructive, anti-American, unconstitutional actions by your “pResident” will render you unable to speak up against any future president on the basis of being ‘unprecedented’ – because the asshole you put in the White House – with no small assistance from our Russian enemies – has established precedents that could come back to haunt you in the future.
The cries of ’this has never been done before’ will be as inconsequential as they are laughable. THIS is the corner you’ve allowed Trump to paint you into – and a nation awaits your inevitable back-tracking as you decry any policies of the next Democratic president that you find to be unacceptable.
You are where you are – between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Good luck reversing your position as The Dotard goes down, while pretending that precedents set by him never really happened.
The nation – and the whole world – will be watching as you attempt to undermine the next Democratic president by claiming that his/her actions are beyond the powers afforded any president, after your so-called “pResident” has shot all of those arguments to hell and beyond.
Given your unwavering support of a "pResident' who has consistently held himself out as being a supreme being above the law of the land, there isn't a hidey-hole you can retreat to when the next Democratic president takes office and upholds those laws, and protects and defends the Constitution upon which this nation was founded.
