The Trumpians want the media (because it is against the law and they are trying to smear that on others to ) to out the whistle blower is that they will make that persons life such a hell, even try and imprison them and that will keep anyone else quiet.

They have gotten to close to goo that oozes from the Trump and they are all dirty now. Nothing they will not do, or place they will not go to stop the leaks..
