His Diet May Do Him In

https://www.alternet.org/2019/11/trumps-self-destructive-diet-psychiatrist-explains-how-unhealthy-food-choices-may-affect-presidents-mental-health/

snip of article:

President Donald Trump’s well-documented eating habits are far from what a nutritionist would deem ideal. The most powerful man in the world often skips breakfast. When he does eat the most important meal of the day, he opts for bacon, McDonald’s Egg McMuffins or “made in the USA” cereals high in sugar.

When Trump visits McDonald’s for lunch or dinner, his go-to order for one meal — two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish and a chocolate shake — clocks in at 2,390 calories. He might chase that with up to 12 Diet Cokes a day. The president’s love of the iconic American fast-food chain is reportedly motivated at least in part by a fear of being poisoned. That’s just one quirk in a highly quirky diet.

Let's hope his insides revolt.

Theirs are the only ones that I will eat without catsup. I only eat fast food maybe 5 times per year, but I did eat an Impossible Whopper and fries at BK last week, the fries were still good. Maybe is is just the texture of the BK fries that I find pleasing, their texture is different.

to do fries. Fresh potatoes, peeled, cut and blanched, then deep fried to golden crispness. You can actually TASTE the potatoes. Those uniform potatoes paste sticks that McD’s serves are an abomination. When I moved to Boston all the fries seemed to follow that model, then to add insult to injury they tossed them in some salty/herb mix to cover up the complete lack of flavour. I just couldn’t find real fries and couldn’t figure out the problem; fresh potatoes cooked up in clean oil. Not rocket science!

I figured that BK blanched their fries and tried that once, the results were not good. I think that I may have let them boil too long. I think that it may help if the oil is "conditioned" a bit, fresh oil seems to not brown well.
