I like the language that the Obama campaign is using about the job situation..

In the latest piece I read here on DU, which was a comparison between what happened just before the election and the reality on the ground 4 years later..

The words "What we have now" is the adult way to compare how truly awful the economic situation was back in 2008 and the huge effort it took just to get us back to almost even.

What would have happened if everything was the same but McCain had been elected president?

It makes me shudder when I just think about that.

Seriously, what would he have done, where would we be now and how can we even think about changing the careful, contemplative navigator times like this demand.

Obama is the careful, contemplative navigator that we need...

The country needs him too, and even the reddest of right-wingers need him. They just haven't realized it yet. We can hope that maybe someday they will understand.
