White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney decided to block benefits for over 80,000 veterans exposed to Agent Orange because hes worried about the cost.
So @SenSherrodBrown and @SenateDems just demanded we pass a resolution to care for more them.
But Republicans objected.

(408 posts)My husband died 13 months ago due to lung cancer caused by exposure to Agent Orange during his time in Vietnam. He was a combat veteran, member of an LRRP team, and was wounded while out on patrol. His death was mercifully quick although I'm sure to him it seemed to go on forever. The cancer, he was told, was a particularly virulent strain and he fought it off for 3 years after having the lower lobe of his right lung removed. Then it sprang. From the time he got the bad news in July that it had spread, to his death in October he fought the good fight.
Mick Mulvaney should be ashamed of himself. And while I'm at it, who the hell is he to pull this stunt? he's not an elected official. He has no right to do this.
These vile people need to be strapped into a uniform, handed a gun and sent to Iraq.

(4,261 posts)They probably get all hot and sweaty at the thought of giving them selves more money to play with, while taking veterans for fools.
They excremental examples of (unfortunately) human beings.
