Most sensitive information has a suspense date; a time after which, it is no longer of any real intelligence value to anyone who has it.

I suspect most of the info Trump is burbling away is of this nature. He's too stupid to comprehend complex time-insensitive security issues.

We haven't begun to see the ramifications of the Syria stunt. Why would anyone trust us?
It's all beginning to look like a huge spider web of collateral damage in so many areas, I can barely keep up. We are running out of words to describe the colossal mess he has made. All while Putin smiles.

most in a fascist mode, is on the march, not just around the planet but here.

We have to stop it and reestablish the mores and procedures the Republicans have smashed.

But we didn't invent them and we don't have to reinvent them. Many are far older than the 250 years our republic has existed, ALL are based on core values of living people, and our governments are full of people who applied them in their daily work and want to return to that, such as the two who testified yesterday. And many here on DU. They're the way things must be.

If you really imagine OUR party is as devoid of principle as the Republican leadership has become, that's scary. Seriously. Why would any person who understands the morals and principles underlying democracy not recognize that those principles live in our party? (AND among liberals in general, as well as many moderate conservatives who've rejected what the Republican Party has become?)

A lack of conviction in the strength of our principles scares me because no doubt it reflects the weakness of millions. All I can suggest to those people is to find someone whose integrity they believe in and follow that person's lead.

BE one of the millions committed to our principles. A new commitment to probity is government is a very likely reaction to near-destruction by corruption. It certainly has been in the past.

Itm, our Democratic legislators, overall, are. Let's remember the very first, giant bill the 116th house passed to fix the problems today's corrupt Republicans either created or were the first to use weaknesses over the 235 years after our constitution was ratified. Look and believe. And support.

Is because people stopped supporting the Democratic Party even when they agreed with the party. They stopped voting out of laziness or, worse, if they couldn’t get the exact candidate they wanted. They stopped thinking that their first priority for volunteeering could be for the party they were best lined up with.

Political parties get compromised or can even die without the support of people. Worse, most people seem to have forgotten that, with any issue you can think of, the government has a far larger impact on whether or not anything gets done about it than all the special interest groups put together. The special interest groups are fine for raising awareness, but they can’t touch the government when it comes to getting things DONE. It makes zero sense to volunteer for the Sierra Club, or a literacy program or even cancer research when government will have a far greater role in fixing each of those problems than all of the interest groups combined. Wouldn’t a party that furthered and protected and improved your concerns about any given issue be the first you volunteered for if you wanted to get the most bang for your volunteer time or money?

But no, people are foolish enough to think that politics are dirty rather than an organizational tool to get the most good done for more people than charity EVER has.

I watched as political participation withered away, year after year, at local and state levels. And then some of them got sniffy when corporations and the rich started filling the void. Guess what? That wouldn’t have happened if enough people had been engaged in their party to fight back.

I worked on my first campaign at six years old, helping my family stuff envelopes for Bobby Kennedy’s tragic Presidential run. I worked on numerous campaigns and was there at local HQs when everyone else was partying and goofing off. I did it for decades.

I’ve spent my time in the trenches hanging in there and fighting for the only that gives a damn about real people, only to see fewer and fewer people taking part—while doing ZERO but complain about the party they were too selfish and lazy to support. And now I’m too sick and too exhausted from that to keep fighting that fight for so little reward. It’s everyone else’s turn to stop being whiny titty babies and step the hell up for the party, the country and all that we hold dear—before there’s nothing left worth fighting for.

Those easily mind-fucked always were among us. One of the candidates routinely insists there's little difference between Democrats and Republicans, a message that's had a LW market for decades. People with a solid moral core and liberal values, though, know who they are and regard those statements with the contempt they deserve.

The highly principled government careerists testifying right now against Trump and the Republicans are proof to the nation of how lacking in understanding messages such as this OP's are. Not that we don't have a lot of cleanup to do, but there are plenty who do know how to sweep and scrub, and why.

Best for serenity is to just ignore this stuff. I change the channel and keep it changed when black-pillers come on, and we record the debates and fast forward through candidates who feed hostile media their material.

After all, we're the people who elected Democrat Barack Obama twice and our first woman president once. We're the blue wave of the current elections, AND we are the lifelong despair of those condemned to be emotionally invested in our defeat.
