The New York Times' bestseller list is not exactly as it appears.
Yes, Donald Trump Jr., the president's son and self-proclaimed "general in the meme wars," saw his book Triggered debut at No. 1 on The New York Times' bestseller list on Wednesday evening. But that's likely in part because some bulk orders of the book helped him seal the deal.
The bestseller list through Nov. 24 debuted Wednesday, putting Trump Jr's book on "How the left thrives on hate and wants to silence us" at the top of the list. Yet next to that title, there's a little dagger mark. It indicates "institutional, special interest, group or bulk purchases," which the list takes into account when formulating its rankings, the Times explains. Essentially, there's a strong chance Trump Jr.'s camp organized some big orders to get his book the best billing.
Regardless of the possibly rigged ranking, Trump Jr. got what he likely wanted out of the top spot: a congratulatory tweet from his father. After all, he was just copying the bulk-buying method President Trump has been perfecting for decades.

(18,125 posts)Pre-sales for Donald Trump Jr.s new memoir, Triggered: A Boy of Destinys Crusade Against The Cuck Liberal Hollywood Elite & Rosie ODonnell skyrocketed to the top of the New York Times Best Seller List when a mysterious corporate buyer in a suburb of Moscow, Russia purchased 70,000 copies.
The company, Russian Copper, is led by one of the top oligarchs in Moscow, Niko Deripaskov, a close friend and confidant to President Vladimir Putin, and the vast majority of the books total sales were billed to Russian Copper.
Political pundits across the political spectrum are calling attention to the blatant exhibit of Russian money laundering, but Donald Jr. is adamant that the Deripaskov is merely impressed with his business skills.
Look, I was offered an executive role in the Trump Organization, literally a day out of college, explained Donald Jr. in a press tour interview conversation with Good Morning Americas George Stephanopoulos. Deripaskov clearly just wants to pass my expansive wisdom on to his employees. He didnt buy Donald Trumps The Art of the Deal, he specifically chose Triggered. And its a great book, his employees are going to love it. I detail how I rose up in the ranks of Trump Tower with hard work, determination, and grit, and I managed to do it in just ten minutes. What does that say about me? My dad, the best business man in the world, hired me on the spot! And it had nothing to do with my last name. I promise you that. It was because he could just tell. Honestly, he barely even knew me, so its totally not nepotism. He was always so busy with work when I was a kid, so I really achieved everything Ive accomplished on my own. But its not like my dad was a bad dad, you know? He always made sure to call me on my birthday, and those were our special little moments. Hed talk for like a whole ten minutes, and wed laugh and laugh. He took an interest in me, and hed always ask about my friends. Hed be like, Do your friends ever talk about Marla in class? And wed talk about the girls my age, and hed ask me how big their boobs were getting, and dude stuff like that. It was great bonding. I bet if Joe Bidens son wrote a book, Russian Copper wouldnt buy ANY copies of it!
Russian Copper, meanwhile, has just 1,200 employees.
One thousand copies were also purchased by President Donald Trump, but paid for by his newly launched, Florida-based charity called Donald Trump Cares.

I see he's inherited his father's modesty.
