I've turned to DU for many, many years. I love this forum, and am compelled to try to live up to all it's been for me over the years.

I can only keep an eye on things sporadically because I'm currently substitute teaching and have to wait to check DU on my phone until the kids are at recess and lunch (and if I'm in a class where they are immersed in an project in which case I'm very discreet).
I don't know what I would've done yesterday without DU where I was able to see in real time how things were going.

Used to do substitute teaching about 35 years ago and it ain't easy!

His 'arguments' are hardly worth repeating. In jotting down one of his tirades idk, last week, it looked like a word map of talking points cud. I found it, eh, therapeutic and am compelled to share.
I expect under Obama, they were riding Ukraine's ass and their corrupt prosecutors (and we know their previous President eventually fled to Russia - remember reading that in the news). So this was apparently some retribution once Drumpf got in and they were all taking advantage of it.
someone (among the Ukrainians) had mentioned that Ghouliani had represented himself as an advisor to the "Vice President" (and confirmed that with the closed-caption too).

The lower level people who move up the chain learn to get all the detailed stuff compiled and are told to then "distill it down" to "Executive Summaries", and finally take those destined for the very highest levels - and distill them down to what they dub "1-pagers".

And where the hell was the Secret Service on this? Didn't they house Obama's BlackBerry the day he was inaugurated? You mean we DIDN'T have to be subjected to the disaster known as Dolt45's Twitter account all this time??? 
And he mentions Fareed's upcoming interview with Zelensky that was later cancelled (and I saw where Fareed zakaria had tweeted about his side of what happened).

The @nytimes has reported that Ukrainian Pres. Zelensky was set to make a public announcement of the investigations sought by Pres. Trump on my @CNN program. So, I think I owe viewers my best understanding of what actually happened.

thinking about actual Ukrainians.
underline how much we benefit from the talents of those who decide to come here from other countries. It really points out how the political fear mongering surrounding immigration actively hurts the country.
Also, go Fiona Hill for the tongue lashing she's giving them over the 2016 election conspiracy theories, shaming them over using domestic politics that harm national security.
