The British-born Hill, who left her White House job shortly before the July 25 call but remained on the payroll into August, had advocated a tough U.S. approach on Moscow even as Trump was more accommodating toward Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Since it became clear Hill would be an important witness in the House impeachment hearings, she has been subjected to furious attack on hard-right talkshows and conspiracy theories on social media..

Now we can see why she was attacked..there is so much more we just do not know...

Timmyboy morrison, who replaced Fiona Hill, will NEVER be able to fill her shoes..oh..wait..he resigned...his closed door transcript, as I read, tried to throw Lt. Col Vindman under the bus, along with Hill..way above his intellect...

I think the GOP goons are tipping their hand here. I think they've seen it and know it would be calamitous for trump et al... if even a little bit gets leaked and are trying to do an impromptu damage control so number fiirst.. think about or... what kind of activities would make his base turn on him? I. Believe the golden shower tape is a real thing. and it might not be female prostitutes helping don get his freak on. I'd say look for that shoe to drop soon. Probably in the next few weeks / months. It'll be so scandalous and demented that even from
Even Tom in Tallahassee and Otis in Ohio are going to have to get off the ride. On the other hand it'll fun watching the republick party twist itself in knots explaining how having boris and ivan pissiing on the presidential bed is another sign of trump's unconventional diplomacy skills and management style. Look for our friends at fox to advocate for a Nobel peace prize. "See, he loves America so much that he's willing to have a couple of oiled up cossacks urinate on him to prove it. Obama wasn't a big enough patriot to do this"

Thu Nov 21, 2019, 12:41 PM
Nov 2019
Mr. Putin: Operative in the Kremlin (Geopolitics in the 21st Century)

From the KGB to the Kremlin: a multidimensional portrait of the man at war with the West. Where do Vladimir Putin's ideas come from? How does he look at the outside world? What does he want, and how far is he willing to go?

The great lesson of the outbreak of World War I in 1914 was the danger of misreading the statements, actions, and intentions of the adversary. Today, Vladimir Putin has become the greatest challenge to European security and the global world order in decades. Russia's 8,000 nuclear weapons underscore the huge risks of not understanding who Putin is. Featuring five new chapters, this new edition dispels potentially dangerous misconceptions about Putin and offers a clear-eyed look at his objectives. It presents Putin as a reflection of deeply ingrained Russian ways of thinking as well as his unique personal background and experience.

Looks interesting, gets pretty good reviews. (MSNBC were impressed.) Starts right off the bat with the retaking of Crimea. I haven't read very far but the style is engaging, which helps when dealing with a book this dense with information.

Lying again, the Clinton campaign hired Steel, ignoring that he was initially hired by a rethuglican. Asking both--do you think its appropriate for a political party to send an operative to another country to dig up dirt on a political opponent?

No concept of hypocrisy.

Just trying to get this lunacy on the record.

In about a hundred years, history students will be reading/watching/downloading transcripts from these proceedings and realizing: "oh, so THAT'S what an idiot sounds like!!"

Also Hill showed sweeping condemnation of *any* government officials' nepotism - she didn't say it out loud, but there was a whiff of, "shall we talk about Ivanka, or Don Jr, or or..." Another burn.

I don't know that Castor realizes the knife keeps turning back on him.

No wonder she couldn't get together with him re foreign policy - that's not what Sondland was there for.
