Back when Christie was bypassed for a coveted cabinet position, he had the whipped puppy, sad eyed look. Now, he is sitting back and gloating. He dodged that bullet.

Too bad he doesnt use his powers for good rather than evil, because I suspect he is one of the smarter ones. And yes, Im well aware that he has made his share of unforced errors.

(58,785 posts)Remember how Trump and family deliberately humiliated him over a long, cruel period with the national spotlight illuminating him crawling around obediently for their kicks, then very publicly put a bullet in his head? They left him destroyed with nowhere to go, and all this time he's continued as a knee-grabbing butt hoping to once again be allowed to become an ass-kissing insider to power, answering their continued abuse with expressions of loyal support.
IF this corrupt, self-destructive jerk committed no crimes big enough before being exiled or had no special insider information worth anti-corruption investigators going after him, it'll be in spite of himself. The revolving door on Trump's chief of staffs has had him begging eagerly for the job. "Me, me! My life for you! I'll crawl on my belly like a reptile to fetch hamburgers and fire prosecutors for you."
Or something like that. No doubt he is enjoying some malicious chortling, but that has to be between stabs of fear that he'll go down with the rest of them, that there'll be no rescue.
