(14,961 posts)or if we are just noticing, because we are now paying attention. He has a rally in a little bit, I guess we will know then.

(82,849 posts)His left leg seems to move okay until they get alongside the chopper. Then there's a definite hitch in his gitalong.

(6,476 posts)I never knew what to do with my arms at that age. He's about that age dealing with his new gangly body. Good luck kid-you could grow up to be a Ron Reagan some day

(2,187 posts)Poor Barron. He'll be better looking and smarter, too.

(63,221 posts)What I have noticed is that his father barely notices his presence at all. No pat on the shoulder, no looks of reassurance, no smiles. Nothing that would indicate that he has any level of caring or affection at all for his son. It's like Barron is invisible to him. He is such a heartless bastard.

(4,220 posts)if hes not scarred by his fathers actions and inactions. Maybe he has someone else who can be a father figure for him.

(63,221 posts)at all. I kind of hope Eric and Don Jr. don't since they would be bad influences, but I wish there was someone in his life who cared about him more than they do about themselves.

(4,612 posts)I hope the stories are true that Melania and his grandparents are basically keeping him away/insulated from Trump as much as possible. I'm the son of a narcissistic father and am still dealing (at 70) with the scars inflicted when I was Barron's age and younger.
smirkymonkey
(63,221 posts)I think those scars can last a lifetime. I had a very narcissistic and abusive stepmother and although I have mostly worked through it over years of therapy, it never really leaves you. I hope you can find peace someday, but I know it is a life's work and that is what makes me so angry. They just do so much damage and you just know that kid is already so damaged by him.

(1,076 posts)I had a psychopath (malignant narcissist) father and my brother is one as well. Fortunately, my mother left the former when I was young and he stayed away for the most part; however, I had to put up with the sibling from hell for way too many years.
I still bear the scars from both, though. You never get over what these monsters do to you. It scared me when I was doing research on serial killers for a college paper, and I recognized my father instantly in Ann Rule's descriptions of Ted Bundy. I literally dropped the book and was shaking as everything bad about the SOB came back to me, in a flash. Not that my father was a murderer (that I know of). Just that some of the traits were waaaaaaayyyyyy too familiar.
My brother on the other hand is so much like Dolt45 that it makes me want to puke. They even have the same idiotic facial expressions. It's frightening to behold.

(2,108 posts)he is a cold blooded father, does not care what the kid wants or what he is doing never provided any affection
smirkymonkey
(63,221 posts)You would think that would be something he could teach him. On the other hand, he probably has no patience for that, but he could easily afford him lessons and bring him along. Or even like, acknowledge the fact that he exists. What a horrible father. I wonder if he was that bad with all his kids. He really should have been sterilized a long time ago.
Someone that horrible has no business having children. I don't like his three oldest, but I am sure he probably effed them up pretty well too.
Aquaria
(1,076 posts)Nothing good every comes from a psychopath being forced to interact with children in any manner, but especially in a "learning" environment. Bad enough they leak out their resentment at having to do something they don't want with impatience and annoyance at everything, but they spend most of the time tearing down the kid if he does anything wrong at all. But when things really get ugly is if the kid is better at something than the psychopath parent. Then the knives really come out, because the #1 sin to any malignant narcissist is anyone showing him up or making him look like anything less than the greatest.
At anything.
They don't make exceptions for their children with that.
