Democratic Party should not waste money on trying to convert MAGA voters into Democratic party votes

FOX News Propaganda Works!

What can possible be said to convince this women and other MAGA citizens to vote for Democratic candidates in this 2020 election?

Spend the money on getting out the real Democratic voters, get the voters who are disenfranchised registered and counted. Plan on the fact Donald Corruption Trump will do anything to get re-elected including contacting foreign government to help plant forged documents on democratic party candidates.

If you care about the United States of America you better see that Trump is not re-elected in 2020 and do whatever you can to ensure Trump's defeat!

Attempts to engage in compromises that would appeal to MAGATs stand a really good chance of turning off potential D voters. You could end up losing 10 liberal/progressive voters for every R converted to a D.

Especially among young voters.

Moderate Dems are less likely to stay home than progressive ones, so logically it would follow to not worry about “alienating” those voters with a progressive nominee, and instead focus on motivating young voters who prefer a more progressive nominee.

She runs in a very blue district held by Democrats for decades. And we need more than Democrats for statewide and national elections...we no longer have 'base' elections in these sort of elections...we have to attract independents and there are moderate Democrats too. I suggest you read up on the wins during the midterms and this year too. We need to get out there and win over people...but until then we have run candidates who fit the districts, states etc...50 state strategy and the big tent approach is the only way we win and have ever won.

We absolutely do get mileage out of showing the craziest of the crazy so that non-crazy right-leaning republicans and independents see them as the face of trumpism. They're revolting to most normal people. The more the craziest are portrayed as trump voters, the more it will turn off people; hopefully those that haven't been paying too much attention so far.

7. Long overdue advice

Dec 2019

It’s like chasing a love interest who is not interested.

Far too many of the angry voters spend too much time watching Faux news instead of adapting to the changing world.

I grew up in a small town where people drove at least thirty minutes to livable wage employment.
The steel company sold to a German company in the mid 90s.The jobs and town died. After 38 years my Dad had 80 percent of his pension and benefits( he was lucky one). At 58 he had to find a job. Not an easy transition, but he did it.

If I can’t get an opportunity because of racism, sexism or whom you love that is an economic issue.
If I can’t get an affordable education, that is an economic issue.
If I can’t decide the size of my family, that is an economic issue.
If I can’t affordable health CARE, that is an economic issue.

I am tired of the media referring to these issues as cultural, it all goes back to economics.

Register voters and turn them out.

60% of women are for impeachment.... women are more accessible than the white non-college men who often seem not rational about why to vote. Women were important in VA and AL... really easier because issues matter more to them.

It's hard to appeal to the voters who have mostly emotional reasons for voting for Trump.

Geez.

Sadly, she will vote, and if we believe in the sanctity of voting, such is her right.

The only thing that can really help here, I think, is massive doses of civics, including a 'how to' fulfill your responsibility as a citizen of the republic, a complete and comprehensive study in American history and a steady diet of truthful news. Even then, the best you can hope for is maybe her grandkids will see the light.

She sure as hell won't.

..democratic voters. I'm optimistic that we will elect a democratic president, that 2018 election was an indicator on just how motivated we are; yet, I'd like to see a blue tsunami win not only at the top ticket but down ballot as well..so as to send a clear message to GOP-- your done! We reject your racist, bigoted, mysogynistic hate policies that hurt the poor and working class as well...rid ourselves of odious traitor, racist, mysogynist, self admitted sexual predator in WH. Yet, he could resign today, will certainly lose in 2020 and we will still be left with the same ole grand party of racists and bigots, fake "christians" we've had for decades..so getting out the democratic vote is critical. Yet, pointless to even attempt to change maga voters..independents who voted for trump in 2016, screw them! We've seen the polls among republican voters..the needle hasn't moved, so forget them; never trumpers disgusted with corrupt criminal say they've registered as "ndependents" meaning they'll stay home and not vote or still vote republican--can't trust them.

Trying to persuade MAGA Magoos to vote for Democrats is wasting a lot of resources for very little return. I think that the 2018 elections showed that we’d get more voters to go for Team Donkey by appealing to the non-brainwashed.
