1. Lucky you!

It hardly ever snowed this early when I lived near Phila. It always turned to rain and we would have to go to school after all.

2. There was goodly snow on Easter Sunday one year in April when I was a kiddo.

Fancy dresses and hats and galloshski winter boots. A veritable fashion parade! 😄

3. My family has an old slide of my sister and me

dressed in our Easter finest (matching dresses, hats, shoes, etc.) and there are remnants of a snowman in the background.

5. New Year's b4 we hightailed it outta there, we shot off leftover fireworks from the summer.

In the middle of our road. We froze our buns off. Hardened snow and ice covered our lawns and street. The neighbors watched from their windows. Our friend's brother-in-law worked with someone who trekked down to SC every blessed year to buy fireworks. He took orders. Our friend spent hundreds. There was one called the cake. Looked like a cake and shot off a long and quite varied display. Those were the days...
