FASCISM: $400M of OUR money, power of US govt., to bribe Ukraine to help PERSECUTE his opponents.
To me, that is the most explosive framing of what Trump did. Yeah....the Democrats use the generic term "abuse of power", but that is not explicit enough to do the best job of swaying public opinion.
"Using $400M of our money, along with the full power of the US government, to fascistically retaliate against, and persecute, political opponents and investigators, and to rig elections" needs to be employed repeatedly every day by Democratic office holders and surrogates. In other words, the Democrats need to be very explicit by virtue of using hot button, emotional terms to frame the argument (using the terms "fascism" and "persecute", for example). That's what the GOP does to us, and we need to turn the tables.
Look what he's done to Andrew McCabe. He has used the DOJ to investigate McCabe in an attempt to imprison him (and others)......he's already retaliated against McCabe by causing him to lose his pension. He's taken these and other fascistic steps not just to retaliate against those who have crossed him, but to warn others not to do so.
Put THIS before the American public, and ask: "Are we going to allow presidents of the United States to fascistically use the power of OUR government to investigate and persecute political opponents in an attempt to jail them, to use OUR money and our government's power to blackmail foreign governments into manufacturing dirt on political opponents, and to utilize our government's power to coerce foreign governments into helping rig elections? If we do allow these authoritarian actions, then kiss democracy good bye!"
