GOP House Intel counsel argues Democrats failed to enforce impeachment subpoenas

Steve Castor, the counsel representing Republicans from the House Intelligence Committee, argued during Monday's impeachment hearing that House Democrats failed to properly obtain and enforce subpoenas for Trump administration staffers to garner additional testimony in their impeachment inquiry.

Yes, but: For the last two months, the White House has blasted the impeachment inquiry as "constitutionally illegitimate" and refused to take part at all. Democrats chose to move forward without said testimony — especially from some key staffers, like former national security adviser John Bolton — because a court battle to enforce any subpoenas could take months.

It looks like the way the Article is written, the Chief Justice can rule on evidentiary motions. While he might defer on particularly sticky ones to move through the courts, would seem that straight to SCOTUS would make sense. If he hadn't expressed an opinion in the trial, he shouldn't have to recuse.

Whine about how unfair the hearings are due to lack of witnesses and documentation.
REFUSE to allow said witnesses to testify and direct Fed agencies to REFUSE to turn over documentation.
Whine that Trump should be allowed to invite even more foreign interference in the next election too, while we wait. Then,
Acquit him in the senate, regardless.

WHY?

Because Republicans can NOT 'win' without cheating. They can not win without foreign interference on their and Trump's behalf. THAT is what they are admitting with all this. THEY. CAN. NOT. WIN. AN. ELECTION. FAIRLY. and they KNOW it.

Voter suppression
Gerrymandering
Inviting foreign intervention in our elections on their candidate's behalf.

They can NOT win without it.

Weak.

Pathetic.

Unconstitutional.

Criminal.

But - that's the Republican Party.

And I'm not directing this to Democrats. I'm talking to Republicans.
