I love little morsels of good news. Don't you?

Last week, President Obama spoke in Des Moines. I was there. We waited for two hours to get into security, in a line that was at least a mile long. Several media reports estimated the crowd at 10,000 and I would not be surprised if that was a low number. The place was packed.

Paul Ryan was in Iowa today. I just read an article about attendance at his rally. Are you ready for the big number?

"Several hundred" according to ABC News.

OMG!

Iowans are crazy for politics! Our first-in-the-nation status has turned everyday citizens into political junkies. I am astounded by this unbelievably low attendance number.

Romney is speaking in Iowa on Friday, apparently. I was also surprised to read that he is speaking in Orange City, Iowa on a small college campus there. Orange City is in the northwest corner of Iowa---and to call that place a bastion of conservatism is the understatement of the year. Crazy, tea partier, Congressman Steve King is from that district. I guess Romney is too much of a wimp to travel to the big cities in Iowa and show his face.

I hear that Romney and Ryan are fighting for Iowa, in an effort to win Iowa/Wisconsin/Michigan--because they believe Ohio will most likely go to Obama. Isn't it amazing, that Ryan gets "several hundred" attendees and Romney won't dare to go into the areas of Iowa that could really make a difference for him? They're supposedly working hard to win the state, but Romney will only go to the areas where the right-wing lunatics live. Not exactly a winning strategy is it?

I think their campaign is in trouble. I think they know it too. I think our convention will give us a bump, making things even more uncomfortable for Romney and friends.

"Several hundred"

Ryan spoke to a crowd of 750 people.

Joe Biden could get that many people to watch him floss.
