(1,661 posts)Trump didn't make moves to fire Russian assets like Manafort and Flynn until the MEDIA got a hold of the information, and by virtue the people. Other than that, it was all cool.
Lindsay knows that.
He's still a fuckin' idiot, though...

(269,328 posts)I'm thinking back to early 2018. I'm pretty sure that you and I discussed the possibility -- actually, probability -- that Carter Page was a double-agent. A few weeks later, I remember Malcolm Nance addressing that same thing. I'm quite likely to zip off an OP this afternoon.
Thus, that punk Lindsey is exploiting this .....he knows, and he knows that others on the committee know, but can't say anything about this. But Graham has completely blown any cover Page used to have. Fucking asshole.

(36,567 posts)We need to dust off that graphic from a few weeks ago with HRC/Yovanovitch/Hill all cool & collected during their hearings, & then Graham/Kavanaugh/Jordan screaming & frothing at the mouth. Or maybe it was three different men. Doesn't matter. You can insert the unhinged, hysterical, GOP man of choice.

(25,993 posts)Lindsey pointed out that it was Russia and not Ukraine who interfered with the 2016 elections, Russia and not Ukraine who hacked the DNC emails. I wonder why he would make a point of saying that.
Of course, he failed to mention the RNC emails were hacked at the same time.
SamKnause
(13,114 posts)I also wondered why he didn't mention the RNC emails were hacked.
Maybe one day we will get to read the RNC emails.

(13,114 posts)The FBI lied and hid documents from the court.
Documents were altered.

(14,979 posts)a manager. Judiciary will likely chair the trial. It's unlikely it will be in general session until it comes time to vote. I think that's how they did it with clinton.
The_Counsel
(1,661 posts)Wouldn't make sense for Graham to be a Manager in a trial in which he should be a juror. That would be one less vote to acquit.
Graham was a Manager in the Clinton trial, but that was before he was elected to the Senate.

(13,114 posts)He is laying it out step by step.
From what he has said so far, it sounds like Carter Page will win if he sues.
I don't know how anyone could listen to this and think it benefits the Democratic party.
The republicans are telling their usually lies but that doesn't take away from what Horowitz
has testified to so far.
I hope you can watch the Horowitz testimony.
It will be available on YouTube.
Proud Liberal Dem
(24,460 posts)That the FBI got their warrants lawfully even though some "mistakes" were made? And FWIW I wouldn't expect that the hearing- held by the Senate and Lindsey Graham- would be favorable to us. Hopefully, some Democrats will do some good cross.
getagrip_already
(14,979 posts)He said in the report the flaws were serious in nature, but didn't impact the overall direction or validity of the process. So even though information may have been hidden, it wouldn't have impacted the effort if it weren't. But the act is still serious.
Of course its going to be blown out of context.
Proud Liberal Dem
(24,460 posts)but, yeah, I fully expect Republicans, et. al to seize upon them and spin them way out of context. They will argue the minutiae of the matter because it's all they got and I suspect that Horowitz was hard pressed to dig as deep as he could to find *something* to please Trump.
Mike 03
(16,616 posts)Graham is totally dominating it, and the witness lacks conviction and sounds like he wants to please Graham.
