CNN's specific analysis of Trump's letter: kiss off

https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/17/politics/trump-letter-nancy-pelosi-impeachment/index.html

I just read Trump's letter. Thank goodness for CNN's response even though I'm smart enough to know that the letter is the rambling of an insane cult and its leader.

BTW, CNN links to a Violent Femmes video, "Kiss Off" that has the phrase

"I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record."

Good grief! This in reference to a similar line in Trump's letter.

Will this letter be part of Humanities 101 in the near future? Back in the day, we read a then recent Supreme Court landmark ruling about the Bakke reverse discrimination case. Bakke was turned down for admission to medical school even though he had better scores than those accepted based on diversity goals.

The case was extremely relevant even today. After Reagan's invasion of Grenada to "free" American medical students, American colleges saw that Americans were going off shore for medical training and they decided to open up more places for medical students. We're still talking about the importance of diversity--Trevor Noah last night talked about how few African-American psychologists exist. Blacks need therapy too especially from professionals who have experiences closer to those of African-Americans. (Therapy has become important in the age of Dear Screeching Devil Donald.)

Trump's letter will not be relevant to anyone in the future because it's the ramblings of someone born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Filled with lies and half-truths, Trump and the GOP remain American mistakes at best. Let's hope the "better angels" of our nature will win out in the end.
